Background 

Exploration well at ‘Satpayev’ large oil-bearing structure started in 2015. ‘Satpayev’ site is located in the northern part of the shelf in the north of the Caspian Sea and includes three promising structures: ‘Satpayev’, ‘Eastern Satpayev’ and ‘Karina’. The estimated recoverable resources of the ‘Satpayev’ site are 253 million metric tons of standard fuel.

  • – On bottom stability analysis of a drilling barge
  • – Water Depth: 7m, the barge is ballasted on the seabed
  • – Validation of the ballast weight to avoid sliding during operation
