RIG CONCEPT SELECTION

This study was performed for Kalamkas field, north of Caspian Sea.

Three main principles have been considered.

·  Concept 1: Drilling and production facilities installed on an artificial island.

·  Concept 2: Drilling and production facilities installed in separate areas. Construction is intended to be in a Caspian Sea yard.

·  Concept 3: Drilling facilities installed offshore and kept to a minimum; Production facilities onshore.
