DIETSWELL is established by Jean-Claude Bourdon, the current President and CEO, in association with Dietsmann, a company specialized in the provision of operations and maintenance services to the oil and gas industry.


J.C. Bourdon becomes the sole owner of DIETSWELL acquiring 100% of the company's capital. The company positions itself as a Well Engineering and Drilling Operations Company. Priority is given to R&D initiatives aimed at developing new drilling technologies to position the company on high-value "niche" markets.


DIETSWELL signs its first worldwide Technical Assistance framework agreement with TOTAL, which has been renewed triennially since. DIETSWELL opens up its capital to TRUFFLE CAPITAL raising 3M€ to finance the acquisition of drilling assets in Algeria in partnership with the Dubai-based DMM Holding.

DIETSWELL acquires SOFINDEL, later renamed DOLFINES, allowing the company to strengthen its rig design and engineering capabilities.


DIETSWELL starts studies to develop a proprietary drilling rig design. The RCR-1200, fast-moving compact hydraulic rig series is born.

FACTORIG is created as a rig inspection and auditing service, using proprietary auditing software developed by DIETSWELL.


DIETSWELL is officially listed on ALTERNEXT (ALDIE) allowing the company to raise 15,6M€ in private placements and 2,5M€ from the conversion of convertible bonds by TRUFFLE.

The proprietary RCR-1200 rig is inaugurated in Lorient (France). The rig is immediately shipped to Sudan for its first exploration campaign on a modular swamp barge.


DIETSWELL establishes a rig engineering company in Russia, Industrial Drilling Rigs, in partnership with a subsidiary of a large Russian industrial conglomerate.

DIETSWELL signs its first three-year worldwide Technical Assistance framework agreement with SHELL.


The Group expands its international presence and opens offices in Tunisia and Abu Dhabi to capitalize on its growing commercial successes in the Middle East and North Africa.


Signature of a Three-Year Framework Contract for technical audit services with ADMA-OPCO and ZADCO in Abu Dhabi, to audit the Emirate’s jack-up rig and barge fleet.
