Priority is given to R&D initiatives aimed at developing new drilling technologies to position the company on high-value "niche" markets. |
| 2005 | DIETSWELL signs its first worldwide Technical Assistance framework agreement with TOTAL, which has been renewed triennially since. DIETSWELL opens up its capital to TRUFFLE CAPITAL raising 3M€ to finance the acquisition of drilling assets in Algeria in partnership with the Dubai-based DMM Holding. DIETSWELL acquires SOFINDEL, later renamed DOLFINES, allowing the company to strengthen its rig design and engineering capabilities. |
| 2006 | DIETSWELL starts studies to develop a proprietary drilling rig design. The RCR-1200, fast-moving compact hydraulic rig series is born. FACTORIG is created as a rig inspection and auditing service, using proprietary auditing software developed by DIETSWELL. |
| 2007 | DIETSWELL is officially listed on ALTERNEXT (ALDIE) allowing the company to raise 15,6M€ in private placements and 2,5M€ from the conversion of convertible bonds by TRUFFLE. The proprietary RCR-1200 rig is inaugurated in Lorient (France). The rig is immediately shipped to Sudan for its first exploration campaign on a modular swamp barge. |
| 2008 | DIETSWELL establishes a rig engineering company in Russia, Industrial Drilling Rigs, in partnership with a subsidiary of a large Russian industrial conglomerate. DIETSWELL signs its first three-year worldwide Technical Assistance framework agreement with SHELL. |
